Time Out

There are many issues that we face every day and before people form an opinion or make a judgement they should step back and take a time out to give themselves time to think. One issue that has been in the news lately is the debate over arrests or shootings that may be violating people's rights. People are often recording incidents with their phones. This can help in cases of wrongful arrests; however, sometimes the whole story has not been recorded. This leads to the thought that police officers might need to wear cameras in order to have both view points on record. Without video, can excessive force be proven or avoided?  Another question to ask yourself when police brutality is in the spotlight is about race.  Does race have something to do with it is it sometimes used as an excuse to blame the police?  If we put our self in the police officer's position, what would be your first reaction to prevent someone from getting hurt? If we put ourselves in the position of the person being shot or beat up, sometimes when they are just standing there, what should they do to protect themselves? There will always be two sides to the story, but before making a fast decision let's take a time out.

Simple Dish in the Kitchen

Chicken fried rice is a simple dish to make, using only a few ingredients. The items you would need include chicken breast strips, corn, peas, green onions, rice, garlic pepper and olive oil too.

Winter

Windy and 17 degrees outside. Yes, it's cold, while I am shoveling my parents snow. Winter is here. When I'm finished here its time for Starbucks coffee.
